Countree was born from a simple idea: lending money to people you care about shouldn’t be so complicated. Our team saw friends and family struggling with unpaid loans, awkward follow-ups, and damaged relationships. We’ve heard countless “I wish we had written it down” stories. So in early 2025, we set out to build a solution that brings peace of mind to personal lending.

Make informal lending secure, transparent, and effortless worldwide – so that borrowing from a friend or lending to family is as smooth as a bank transaction (but a lot more personal!). We want to ensure every personal loan, big or small, comes with clarity and trust for both sides.
